BA's Infrastructure Group helps governments successfully design concession arrangements under different schemes and for different kinds of projects. Whether in toll-highways, ports or transport terminals, we advise federal or local authorities to design concession contracts and bidding processes that maximize competition between bidders and safeguard the long-term sustainability of projects. We act as economic advisors during development of new laws, and privatization, whether on the sell- or buy-side, often focusing on the design of regulatory frameworks and concession contracts, and on modeling their financial and tariff implications. We take particular care in accurately determining the projected levels of demand for each project, using state-of-the-art techniques and tools. We help governments design contractual mechanisms for managing risk in concession businesses where unpredictable elements may negatively affect the feasibility of projects.
